James H. Walker (1920-1994)
James Hunt Walker managed a private practice, Lassiter, Lassiter & Walker, for 36 years before joining Bailey &
Dixon as partner in 1984. His legal practice focused on commercial and residential real estate, construction law,
and related litigation.
Mr. Walker served as Captain with the U. S. Marine Corp in the Pacific Theater during World War II, later reaching
the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the reserves. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1942
and law degree from Harvard Law School in 1948. Mr. Walker was a member of the Carolina Country Club and Sphinx Club.
